Die wind het besluit die DStv by die hoofhuis gaan vandag nie saamwerk nie… maar geen paniek nie. 😄 ’n Kabel is aangelê, die TV is by Kamp 9 opgestel, en kort voor lank kon almal lekker saam rugby kyk.

Want as die Bokke speel, laat ’n bietjie wind ons darem nie keer nie!

Kroon Lodge received a welcome 14 mm of rain on Thursday, 3 September - 2 mm in the morning, followed by another 12 mm later in the day. 🌿💧

We are now hoping the beautiful bulb plants that usually make their appearance in September will start coming through.

The caravans are in, the camp chairs are out, and the Namaqualand season is well under way at Kroon Lodge Kamieskroon. ⛺🚙

Yesterday, one of our guests cycled all the way to Skilpad and back! 🚴‍♂️🌿

After the adventure, he and his wife decided there was only one way to cool down… a quick dip in our fountain! 😂💦

When all the campsites are full… ⛺

“More julle, ons het ’n plekkie gekry!” 😂

All the campsites were full, so these happy campers simply made a plan , setting up behind the dining hall, right on the veranda and safely out of the wind.

And the best part? They were perfectly happy! 😄 They slept lekker, stayed out of the wind, and woke up ready for another day of adventure.

Sometimes you don’t need the perfect campsite… just a little creativity and a good sense of humour! ❤️😂

Meet Anna and Diminique, a young married couple exploring the world with their two Bengal cats by their side.

Together, they have traveled through 55 countries, with 26 of them explored in this very same camper - beautifully driven by Anna. Their latest stop? Kroon Lodge, before continuing their adventure to Namibia.

Stories like these remind us that life is about adventure, connection, and making unforgettable memories along the way.
