“What a wonderful way to start our journey! Elephant Hide was a real highlight from the very beginning. The small and personal atmosphere, the beautiful location overlooking the Knysna Lagoon and the peaceful surroundings were perfect after the long journey to South Africa.

The welcome was extremely warm and uncomplicated, and the rooms as well as the terrace and pool area offer fantastic views – especially at sunset. Dinner on our first evening was also excellent, both in quality and choice.

Elephant Hide is actually the one accommodation we would definitely love to include again in next year’s programme. While we would also enjoy discovering some new hotels along the way, this place was simply too special not to return to. For us, it is the perfect place to start a South African journey – peaceful, personal, beautiful and already a highlight in itself.”
