Our beautiful main bedroom, designed for slow mornings, salty air and switching off completely.

Wake up to ocean views from your bed, step straight onto the balcony with your morning coffee, and fall asleep to the sounds of the coast. With a spacious king-size bed, soft layered linens and those uninterrupted blues just outside, this is one of our favourite spaces at Waves & Whales.

And during whale season, you might just be lucky enough to spot a humpback passing by from the comfort of your room. 🤍

Meet the faces behind Waves & Whales 🤍🐋

Hi! We’re the mother-daughter team behind Waves & Whales.

Sonja, the owner (and powerhouse who had the idea), and Tyler. I look after the day-to-day running of the B&B—from guest communication and reservations to making sure every stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible. And with our lovely staff helping us every step of the way.

We’ve been lucky enough to call Knysna home for over 20 years, which means we’ve had plenty of time to discover all the best local spots—and we’re always happy to share our favourites. 😉
