🦁🌅 THE BIG BOYS AT SUNRISE…

Our French 🇫🇷 and German 🇩🇪 guests had already enjoyed some incredible lion sightings, different prides, wonderful interactions and even tiny cubs.

But there was one box still to tick… the big boys.

With some careful route planning and understanding of the lions’ movements, we went looking for two territorial males associated with the Hippo and Bume prides.

And what a sunrise introduction it was.

For around 30 minutes, we had the privilege of watching these magnificent males before they disappeared deeper into the thickets.

Great guiding isn’t simply about driving the roads, it’s about listening to your guests, understanding the wild and giving every safari purpose.

From male lions stalking Cape buffalo on two separate occasions, huge buffalo herds of up to 800, elephants galore and a coalition of cheetah brothers — to playful young nomadic lions, two leopards together in a tree with a kill, hyenas, incredible birdlife and so many special interactions along the way.

But safari is about more than a checklist of sightings.
