🌍 You're standing in one of the oldest stories on earth.
The Cradle of Humankind is where some of the most significant human fossil finds in the world have come from, and Mount Savannah sits right in the middle of it. Wildlife grazing in the distance, ancient ground underfoot.
Not a bad place to spend a weekend. 🦓

Jacaranda season makes the drive out of Joburg genuinely lovely, and then you arrive somewhere quiet with open veld and nothing on the schedule. Under an hour from the city and completely removed from it.

New green in the veld, warmer mornings, and birdsong starting a good half hour earlier than it did last month. It's the season this place does best — everything softening up at once.

Spring brings fresh grazing, and the animals know it. Zebra drifting past in the early light, giraffe browsing the treeline, springbok scattered across the open veld — all of it happening at its own unhurried pace.
