The lodge has seven private luxury rooms and ample space in each room allows for all the special touches such as his/hers basins, a private deck,

indoor and outdoor showers etc. Five star rated meal times are a culinary dream with 3 course meals and plated service at an all time high. No matter the weather, our Anti-Poaching team is out there โ€” through freezing early mornings, through wind and rain, through the long, quiet hours that most of us never see. It's not an easy job, and it's rarely a glamorous one, but it's one of the most important things happening on this reserve.

Thanks to our guests, we were able to get the team new jackets to help them through the cold nights on patrol. It's a small gesture, but it comes from a big place โ€” genuine appreciation for people who protect this land and its wildlife without ever asking for recognition.

Our Sunset Gin was inspired by those beautiful evenings in the bush and is created using a blend of botanicals that includes fever tea bush harvested right here on Nambiti.

Our Diversity Gin celebrates the incredible variety of plants, landscapes and wildlife that make Nambiti so special.

Served with your choice of tonic or dry lemon, plenty of ice and the beautiful reserve as your backdrop, it is a very special part of the safari experience.

Our teamโ€™s passion for the lodge and our guests comes naturally. There is a genuine love for what we do, for the people who visit us and for the incredible reserve that surrounds us.

Many of our team members come from the surrounding community, giving us an even deeper connection to the area we are fortunate enough to call home.

This connection to our guests, our community and the reserve is a large part of what makes Nambiti Plains what it is.

Nambiti Plains is a small, intimate lodge, and that is exactly how we like it.

With just seven suites - four Luxury Suites and three freestanding Honeymoon Suites - sleeping 14 guests in total.

The lodge has been designed to bring the outside in. Natural textures, warm stone and thatch sit comfortably within the landscape, while the open, unfenced setting allows the sights, sounds and feeling of the bush to become part of your stay.

Set within the Nambiti Private Game Reserve, we are fortunate to offer an intimate safari experience in one of KwaZulu-Natalโ€™s most diverse malaria-free reserves.
It may be a small lodge, but the views, the wildlife and the experience are anything but.

A stay at Nambiti Plains is really about enjoying the simple moments that make being in the bush so special.

Heading out on a game drive and seeing what the reserve has waiting for you. Stopping for sundowners as the sky changes colour. Or spending a quiet afternoon between drives beside the pool, watching the reserve unfold in front of you โ€” with the possibility that an elephant or two might even join you for a drink! ๐Ÿ˜

If you feel like doing something a little different, we can also arrange a bush picnic out on the reserve. Set up somewhere beautiful, good food, and the feeling that, for a little while, there is nowhere else you need to be.

We simply want you to have time to enjoy the bush, slow down and experience Nambiti in your own way - hopefully leaving you with hundreds of memories to take home with you.

A safari at Nambiti Plains is never just about ticking animals off a list.

It is about heading out into the reserve with an experienced guide, following tracks, watching behaviour unfold and allowing the bush to reveal itself at its own pace.

Some drives bring dramatic sightings, while others are remembered for the smaller details - birds calling at first light, fresh tracks in the road or a quiet sundowner as the day comes to an end.

Every drive is different, and that is exactly what keeps the experience so special.

Us, just waiting for Spring to arrive this morningโ€ฆ

But nature has a way of reminding us that it comes in its own time.

So instead of a sunny Spring morning, we had mist settling over Nambiti Plains, with the sound of birds carrying through the mist.

Not quite the Spring morning we expected, but beautiful in its own way. ๐ŸŒฟ
