𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Concerned with the imminent risk of the Gauteng provincial department of health infringing on the constitutional rights of community members to access healthcare, as enshrined in Section 27 of the Constitution, due to the various shortages in healthcare facilities, DENOSA in Gauteng intends on engaging further stakeholders in the province over these challenges going forward.

On Friday, 11 September, DENOSA will be addressing the Gauteng Provincial Legislature.

The organisation will also address and clarify community members in the province as a way to de-escalate what has become serious tensions in facilities due to the staff shortages and shortages in medical supplies and others, which have seen many nurses falling victims.

'𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵'𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁' - 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗴.

Because the healthcare service challenges facing Gauteng's Health Department are well-known to the Department as they have been raised on numerous occasions, DENOSA Deputy Chairperson in Gauteng, Yandisa Zungula, says the month notice they have given the provincial Department to fix these challenges is sufficient.

DENOSA gave the Department until October to get its act together, or else the union will take the matters to the streets.

KASK, a newly-formed public sector unions' confederation in Turkey, officially opened its headquarters in Ankara on 4 September 2026.

It is led by founding member of a nurses union, HEP-SEN, Yunus Simsek, as the founding General President of the new confederation.

DENOSA President, Simon Hlungwani, sent a congratulatory message to both HEP-SEN and KASK for this significant milestone for the workers in Turkey.
