Tenahead Lodge & Spa is situated at the very top of the marvellous Naude’s Nek Pass in the Eastern Cape Highlands. The closest town, Rhodes, is an approximate hour’s drive from Tenahead.

At 2500m above sea level, Tenahead is very proud to hold the title of the “Highest Mountain Lodge in South Africa”. 🇿🇦

The 7 spacious en-suite rooms, each with fireplace and majestic mountain views, are cosy and comfortable.

At Tenahead Lodge & Spa, dining is an experience – a snug corner, a crackling fire, and a 5-course plated dinner you will not easily forget. At breakfast, expect a mini continental buffet and a plated hot meal. Lunch is served from an a la carte menu.

Amenities include an honesty bar, spa, and hiking trails. Horse riding is also offered as an activity. With your own equipment, enjoy the great outdoors fly fishing or birding. With your own wheels, explore Tenahead’s 4x4 tracks.

While the road to Tenahead is long and windy, and a little bumpy, the destination is well worth it. To navigate the dirt roads, a high clearance vehicle is firmly advised.

Day visitors are welcome for tea or lunch.
