One of the questions we're asked most often is: when is the best time to visit?

The answer is a little more complicated than a single month on a calendar.

Winter brings open visibility and animals drawn towards the Sabie River. Summer transforms the landscape, bringing new life and dramatic skies. Then there are the months in between, when the reserve seems to offer a bit of both.

The wildlife is here year-round. What changes is how you experience it.

If you're planning a safari, we've broken down what each season looks like and what you can expect from your time at Lion Sands. Read here: https://brnw.ch/21x37TX

The sculptures across Lion Sands reveal themselves gradually.

They belong so naturally within the spaces around them. Over time, you start to notice the shape of one against the river. Another catching the last light of the afternoon. The familiarity of passing the same figure each day.

Before long, they stop feeling like additions to the space and start feeling inseparable from it.

"Sleeping in one of the treehouses at Lion Sands Game Reserve means hearing the bush through the night, from movement below the deck to the sounds you’d usually sleep through back at the lodge."

Read more about the experience, the difference between the three treehouses, and why guests never stop talking about it afterwards: https://brnw.ch/21x2qbD
