Leftover steak is unbelievable if you know what to do with it.

Three ideas worth trying:
Steak sandwich: slice it cold, thin, against the grain. Sourdough, wholegrain mustard, caramelised onion.
Steak salad: rocket, parmesan, olive oil, lemon. Five minutes.
Steak fried rice: dice it small, hot pan, day-old rice, egg, soy, spring onion. The fat left in the meat does half the seasoning.

Every step you take this July can make a difference. Join the Kamberg Mafutha Challenge and be part of something bigger than yourself. Whether you choose to walk 40km or run 100km, you’ll be helping raise funds for Midlands Hospice and Bobbi Bear, supporting families and children who need it most.

WALK CHALLENGE – 40KM

✔️ Complete a 3km qualifier between 29 June & 5 July
✔️ Minimum 3km per walk
✔️ Maximum 1 walk per day
✔️ Minimum 3 walks per week
✔️ Minimum 10km per week
✔️ Complete a total of 40km between 6 July & 2 August

🏃 RUN CHALLENGE – 100KM

✔️ Complete a 5km qualifier between 29 June & 5 July
✔️ Minimum 5km per run
✔️ Maximum 1 run per day
✔️ Minimum 3 runs per week
✔️ Minimum 20km per week
✔️ Complete a total of 100km between 6 July & 2 August

How it works:
1️⃣ Sign up and pay your entry fee (includes a branded challenge shirt).
2️⃣ Complete your 3km (walk) or 5km (run) qualifier during 29 June – 5 July.
3️⃣ Join the WhatsApp group and follow John Nel on Strava to track your progress.
4️⃣ From 6 July – 2 August, complete your challenge by following the simple weekly rules and sharing your journey with the community.

The Riveraine Beef commitment to quality you can trust begins in the pastures of the Midlands and continues through a meticulous, temperature-controlled journey.

Because our beef is hormone-free and free of routine antibiotics, maintaining a strict cold chain is the most critical step in preserving its natural flavour and tenderness. This process starts immediately at the source; once processed, its chilled to below 4°C to halt microbial growth and prepare the meat for the essential aging phase.

To achieve our signature depth of flavour, we wet-age our steaks for 21–28 days, allowing natural enzymes to break down connective tissue for maximum tenderness.
