Fatherhood doesn’t pause when the guests arrive.
For Gavin, General Manager at Kruger Shalati, it lives alongside every welcome, every conversation, and every moment spent ensuring guests feel at home. His days may be filled with hosting, leading teams, and keeping the train running smoothly, but the role that matters most begins long before and continues long after the workday ends.
To him, Father’s Day is a reminder that time together is the true gift. Not the grand gestures or perfectly planned moments, but the everyday memories made side by side.
In the eyes of his daughters, however, their dad’s job is much simpler: he’s a train conductor. The man in charge of a train, greeting people and making sure everyone is having a good time. And while there may be a little more to the role than that, there’s something wonderfully special about seeing the world through their imagination.
Because it’s their playful nature, endless curiosity, and ability to find joy in the simplest moments that remind him of something many of us forget as adults. To slow down. To laugh more. To see the magic that exists in everyday life.
Today, we celebrate Gavin - and all the moments, lessons, and memories that make fatherhood the journey he treasures most.
