🧶 Come sit, knit and chat with us tomorrow! ❤️

The Piggly Wiggly Warm Embrace will be at the Annual Flower & Garden Market on Saturday 24th October.

This makes the perfect chance to tell you what we do. And hopefully find some new members! 🤞🏻

We’ll have plenty of beautiful blankets on show. Every one you buy goes straight back into wool for the next one. 🧺

A huge thank you to Sew What for giving us wool to sell on their behalf. The wool is sold, the proceeds come to us, and we pass the money on to Sew What. And thank you Amanda for the brilliant idea! 💡

WE NEED YOU! 🙋‍♀️ Can you spare a ball of wool, a bit of time and a chat to people about the Warm Embrace. The more the merrier. Bring your needles, bring a friend, bring your Gran and come knit with us for a great cause! 😊

Midlands Hospice is excited to introduce our Wheelie Bin Initiative, a community-driven project that combines practical support with meaningful education.

These bins serve as collection points for preloved clothing, shoes, toys, tools, books, and other household items. These items are then sold in our shops to generate funds for our home-based care.

Shout-out to the Michaelhouse Community Partnerships Trust team, who received two of our Donation Drive Project Blue Bins.
They will collect donations as the students get ready to finish of their 2026 year.

We would love to get more bins to schools, businesses and communities to help us get this initiative off the ground. Special thanks to our sponsors PMB & District Community Chest for making this project a reality.

If you would like to find out more about our Donation Drive Project please contact Meghan on 033 330 5257

The Midlands has a strong culture of community support, often seen in lively charity events. The Beardo’s Shave-a-Thon auction, alongside the Nottingham Road potjie competition, regularly raises significant funds for local causes like Bobbi Bear and Midlands Hospice.
