🌿 Forest Bathing at Gowan Valley

Forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese practice that simply means immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest. It originated in Japan in the 1980s and encourages us to slow down, switch off and reconnect with nature through our senses.

It’s not about hiking a certain distance or reaching a destination. It’s about being present — walking slowly, listening to the birds, noticing the trees, breathing in the fresh air and allowing yourself a little time away from the noise of everyday life.
