A winter morning in the Waterberg delivered more than we expected.
The drive began by tracking two lionesses moving toward the river. Before long, the sharp alarm snorts of nearby impala revealed that something was unfolding ahead.
While following the lionesses, we discovered their attention wasn't on the impala at all. Instead, they had their eyes fixed on a leopard, forcing it high into the safety of a nearby tree.
Moments like these are a reminder that in the wild, every sighting is connected to another story.
