The bush, however, doesn't seem to have got the memo (and yes this is till technically Low Season!)...

The more time we spend in the eastern reaches of the Lower Zambezi National Park, the more we fall in love with it.

Is it as relentlessly wild and remote as Kafue? Perhaps not. But when it comes to sheer beauty, I'm not sure there are many places in Africa that can compete with a winterthorn forest glowing in the light of a Zambezi sunset.

The river, the escarpment, the forests, the wildlife and the ever-changing light combine to create something truly special.

We've tried to put into words why this remarkable corner of Zambia continues to draw attention in our latest blog article. We'd love to hear what others think!
