Had the most amazing two days in the Kafue National Park with our young guest, gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, and unbelievable game viewing. We stayed at Mwamfushi Safari Lodge and got the royal treatment. Didn't get much sleep, though, with Lion, Leopard, and Hyaena calling all night.

This evening, we decided to have dinner at Mabia hotsprings. Starters maramba (cat fish) pickled with garden greens. Mains Kudu fillet, sous vide in the hot springs PLEASE NOTE, then seared off in butter, baked sweet potato, and garden green salad. Finished off with apple pie and fresh cream. My staff are simply amazing. They pulled it off with such style. Thank you, my wonderful husband, for making it happen. Accompanied by great wine Rupert and Rothschild no less, thank you, God, for beautiful evenings, amazing sunsets, and perfect settings. So blessed

Phenomenon day today, we left at 5am to go through to lusaka to get the rest of the borehole equipment we needed to get get Jacob's Borehole done. This was the sunrise, I love the reflection on the Bonnet of the car. Then, coming into GMA this afternoon, we stopped to pick up a trail camera, and there were the most gorgeous aloes in full bloom growing on the rocks by a stream. What a beautiful day, thank you God

So a full 12 hours later, the sounds of our gorgeous but freezing morning, moon was still up, then the most wonderful sky as we say goodnight to a lovely full day. A gift for me from a friend. I was so overwhelmed I burst into tears. What a privileged and awesome life we live I am so incredibly grateful.

It's been an amazing week, we spent a lot of time in the bush. We have had delicious food, this dish is hartebeest peri peri livers, we put in another borehole for the game to have permanent water. Thanks to the generousity of a wonderful client. Gorgeous sunsets and moon and a very interesting fig tree.
