Sango is located in the northern part of the Savé Valley Conservancy and is one of the hidden jewels of Africa. This remote region is known as one of the most breath-taking Safari destinations in the world. And perhaps the most exclusive, as it only allows a maximum of 30 guests at a time in the world’s largest privately owned game reserve, covering an area of 60,000 hectares. A short flight from Harare, Sango seems truly set apart from the rest of the world, a place where the sense of connection to nature awakens and everyday life fades away. Experience a new frontier, an atmosphere characterised by wildlife and pristine landscapes, with amazing safari experiences and touching personalities in an environment of soul-stirring natural beauty. Since 1993 we have dedicated ourselves to conservation and perfected it over many years. Today Sango is a habitat of iconic species like Black Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Painted Wild Dogs.

With nearly 440 bird species across seven diverse habitats, there is always something worth looking up for.

On a private birding safari, guests head out with one of Sango’s specialist birding guides often starting in the pre-dawn dusk—in search of species including Rudd’s Apalis, Neergaard’s Sunbird and the Narina Trogon.

To see a rhino in the wild is extraordinary. To follow its tracks and begin to understand the work that goes into protecting it is something else entirely.

Rhino tracking at Sango takes you beyond the sighting following signs through the bush, learning from those who monitor these animals and gaining a closer look at conservation in action.

This World Rhino Day, we celebrate these remarkable animals and, just as importantly, the people committed to ensuring they continue to roam wild.
