Kariba Dam on the Zambezi River is the world's largest man-made dam and reservoir by volume. It is also the home of the hydropower station for Zambia and Zimbabwe. After years of

operation, the lodge has undergone an exciting renovation since 2015 driven by great leadership and management, resulting in refreshed spaces and thoughtfully designed chalets interiors and hotel suites.

The Kariba facility has 51 hotel rooms, 2 conference rooms with the largest indoor capacity in Mash West, 9 two bedroom chalets, 10 one bedroom chalets, dormitory facility, in-house restaurant and bar, a serene environment with sprawling lawn space, children outdoor play center and a large swimming pool with a waterslide. Our newest facility in Nyanga is located at Lot 17 & 18 Tintagel Rd, Claremont, Juliasdale.

As the Kariba community continues to mourn the devastating ferry tragedy on Lake Kariba, our hearts go out to every family affected by this heartbreaking loss.

At Tamarind Resort, Kariba is not just a destination it is our home, and its people are our people. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families, survivors, rescue teams and everyone affected by this tragedy.

May those we have lost rest peacefully, and may those left behind find strength, comfort and healing.

We grieve together. We stand together. We will heal together.
