Known locally as "musangu" or "umpumbu", the Albida is often called a “miracle tree” for the remarkable role it plays in supporting farmers, feeding wildlife and helping maintain a healthy ecosystem. For us, it reflects resilience, deep roots, and a genuine connection to the Zambezi landscape.

You may wonder how Albida came to be? Well, the story didn't start with Albida...

It started nearly 40 years ago, when Dave Glynn (Africa Albida Tourism Chairman) stumbled upon a special piece of Africa and started imagining what could be. There were years of building, evolving, learning and reimagining. There were people who brought their ideas to the table, old spaces that found new purpose, and one very important rule: work with what nature has already given you.
