From sweeping country gardens and colourful cottage planting to peaceful Japanese-inspired landscapes, the Hartley Valley Garden Festival & Plant Fair is a weekend made for anyone who loves gardens, plants, and discovering something new. There are 4 gardens to explore, a Plant Fair to browse, and an abundance of garden inspiration.

National Bird Week kicks off this week, and we're taking part in The Aussie Bird Count! Our list of birds we've spotted is ever-growing here in the valley 🦜

Take part in this annual citizen science initiative and simply spend 20 minutes in an outdoor space observing and recording local birdlife to help track populations and environmental health. You might be surprised by how many you see! To log your findings, head to the Aussie Bird Count App or the official website form.

A green valley escape is possible here in the beautiful Blue Mountains 🍃

Our place is situated on the edge of the Blue Mountains, surrounded by clifftops and bushland, and is only a short stroll from a great hiking track and a short drive from all the many wonderful lookouts and waterfalls that make this national park so magical and awe-inspiring.

Take a weekend off and enjoy all that there is to explore here (or better yet, call in sick and enjoy the weekdays and less crowds!)

Wandering through our bushland at the moment feels almost like a treasure hunt! It's also an orchid lover's dream! 🧡

We've been finding purple bearded orchids and tiger orchids among many other beautiful wildflowers! They are so small and perfect, yet abundant.
