Happy Monday! ☀️

Stop letting the scales decide whether you’re succeeding!

So many women focus on the number on the scales that they overlook all the positive changes they’re making.

Instead of chasing a kilo a week, let’s focus on the habits that actually improve your health.

✔️ Drinking more water
✔️ Adding more protein and vegetables to your meals
✔️ Moving your body every day
✔️ Being more mindful of your food choices
✔️ Prioritising sleep and recovery

Because success isn’t just about losing weight!

It’s about having more energy, feeling stronger, sleeping better and improving your long-term health.

And here’s something worth remembering…

The scales measure your weight, NOT your progress!

Small, consistent changes add up. Give yourself credit for them. ❤️

What’s ONE healthy habit you’re working on this week?

❤️ Megan

If a way of eating or exercising only works while life is going perfectly, how sustainable is it really?

In this month’s health column, Megan Farthing looks beyond restrictive diets and short-term fixes to talk about health habits that can actually fit into real life.

Real food. Movement that supports your body. Choices you can continue making not just for 12 weeks, but for years.

Because looking after your health shouldn’t feel like you’re constantly starting again every Monday.

You've found the dress.

The dress fits-BUT

When you look in the mirror, you're still tugging at it around your tummy or turning sideways to see how it looks.

Sound familiar?

Sometimes the goal isn't a huge amount of weight loss.

You might simply want to feel smoother and more confident through a particular area.

That's where SlimLUX Body Contouring may be an option.

Using ultrasound cavitation and radiofrequency, we can target areas such as the tummy, waist, hips and thighs to support a more contoured appearance.

And if what you actually need is weight loss rather than body contouring?

I'll tell you.

Because I'm interested in getting you the right result — not selling you a treatment you don't need.

With events starting to ramp up are you always the one offering to TAKE the photo?

Or do you see a photo of yourself and immediately zoom in on your face?

Lines.
Skin texture.
Jawline.
Tired-looking skin.

Suddenly you're analysing yourself instead of remembering the lovely moment the photo actually captured.

If you've got events and celebrations coming up, now is a great time to start giving your skin some attention.

RF Collagen Renewal uses radiofrequency to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin, supporting collagen production and helping improve the appearance of firmness and texture.

The goal isn't to make you look 25-unless you are 25!!

It's to help you look in the mirror and think:

“Yep. I look good.”

And then actually get IN the bloody photo!

Have you got something coming up that you want to feel REALLY good for?

Melbourne Cup?
Christmas party?
Wedding?
Family photos?
Summer holiday?

And maybe there's already a little voice saying…

“I'd love to lose a few kilos.”

“I wish my tummy looked better in that dress.”

“My skin looks so tired lately.”

“I just want to feel good when I get dressed!”

Here's the good news ,you don't have to wait until the week before and panic.

Depending on what YOU want to work on, we can focus on:

✨ Nutrition & weight — Thrive Wellness Snapshot
✨ Tummy, waist, hips or thighs — SlimLUX Body Contouring
✨ Firmer, fresher-looking skin — RF Collagen Renewal
✨ Stress and complete exhaustion — Revive Scalp Rituals

Different concerns need different solutions.

Tell me what's coming up and what you'd most love to feel better about before then.

Cravings aren’t always about hunger.

Ever opened the chocolate thinking “I’ll just have a couple of squares”… and somehow the whole block disappears?

Often it’s not hunger. It’s habit, stress, boredom, comfort or simply a pattern your brain has learned.

Instead of relying on willpower, interrupt the pattern.

Put the food away. Take out a portion. Sit down and actually taste it. Then wait 10 minutes before deciding whether you genuinely want more.

And most importantly, get curious:

What was I actually looking for when I reached for that food?

You don’t have to ban your favourite foods.
You need to understand the habits that keep pulling you back to them.

That’s the kind of work we do inside my signature program -Thrive Through Menopause-Lose Weight & Live Well, because sustainable weight loss is about more than just knowing what to eat.

Work with your body, not against it.
Break old habits.
Create new behaviours around food.

Teachers… we need to talk about the staff room biscuit tin.

When you’ve been teaching, answering questions, solving problems, managing a classroom and making hundreds of little decisions since 8am, that muffin at morning tea can start looking pretty convincing.

But then comes the 2pm crash.

In keeping with our September Teachers Edition, Megan Farthing from Your Health Your Choice shares some realistic strategies for maintaining energy and concentration throughout a busy school day.

Her suggestions aren’t about being perfect or never touching the cake again. They’re simple things like starting with a protein-rich breakfast, packing a snack before hunger hits, drinking enough water and pausing before automatically reaching for the quickest sugar fix.

Because feeding yourself properly isn't indulgent when your brain is working hard all day.

And yes, Megan says you can still have the cake.

Just perhaps not every day, every bell AND every staff meeting.

𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼.

You’ve probably tried eating less, cutting things out, being “good” all week and promising yourself you’ll start again Monday.
You don’t need to get better at dieting.
Especially through perimenopause and menopause, when changes in hormones, sleep, stress, muscle mass and metabolism can mean the old “eat less, move more” approach just doesn’t cut it anymore (not that it ever did)

That’s why I do things differently.

For some women, the first step is my 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 a 90-minute appointment where we take a proper look at where you are right now.
We assess your body composition, and talk through what’s been happening with your health, nutrition and lifestyle.
From there, you receive your personalised 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽, identifying your top three priorities, why they matter and where to start.

Think of it as your starting point ,not for another diet, but for making sustainable lifestyle changes that support your health, your body and the way you want to feel long term.
And if you’re ready for more support, my 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 – 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 & 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 program takes that further.
We work on nutrition, movement, habits and mindset, stress and sleep because lasting change is about far more than what you eat.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿.

It’s about understanding your body, working with it, and building something you can actually sustain.
Because this time, you won't be starting another diet!
You will finally get off the dieting merry-go-round for good.
