The Carrington from a bygone era 📸

A distinguished gathering on the steps of The Carrington, around 1900!

Before the grand veranda we know today, the hotel had a rather different look, with its ornate iron lacework, timber details and original brickwork.

According to the Blue Mountains Library Local Studies Collection (PF 688), among those pictured are prominent Carrington figures Arthur Peacock and Harry Goyder, along with local photographer George Kitch and several other local identities. We wonder what brought everyone together that day!
