Thinking about camping but have never been before?

3 practical tips for first time campers:

~ Stay local and keep your trip short, perhaps have a "staycation".
This way; if the weather turns bad, you've forgotten something or camping just isn't for you, you can just head home. Choose a campground with amenities like hot showers and flushing toilets.

~ Practice pitching your tent at home.
By doing this, you will know how to set it up onsite after you arrive. You would have found out how many poles and pegs it requires and if you need any further equipment. Maybe you're borrowing a friend's tent?
Include testing any battery operated torches and equipment and inflating your sleeping mat.
When you do arrive at your campsite, arrive during the daylight so that you can familiarise yourself with the area.

~ Invest in quality equipment.
Even if it is your first camping trip, ensure that you have a quality tent that will last the night/s which could be cold and wet. Pack warm and insulated sleeping bags/blankets and don't forget sleeping mats.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been working towards another project here at Pine Country Caravan Park ✔️
