Summer in the tropics ☀️🌱 is the best time to visit. With average temperatures between 23ºC to 31ºC, this is the time when the tropics comes alive with lush green vegetation, the sweet sticky smell of native fruits, mango 🥭🥭 and lychee in the air at open markets.

"Do yourself a favour and stay here. The best accommodation we have had in Port Douglas for the last four years. The accommodation is so clean and you get regular room service every 5 days. The beds are so comfortable. I cannot find fault. It is perfection. The pool and gardens are a testament to the managers. For a once in a lifetime experience when visiting the Great Barrier Reef we recommend our friends at Wavelength Reef Cruises 🤿 🐟🪸

Snorkelling is the best and easiest way to see the reef because 90% of its diversity occurs within 4 metres of the surface. That’s why Wavelength have specialised in snorkelling since starting tours to the Outer Reef in 1986.

Owners John and Jenny both studied marine biology, have travelled extensively and ran other marine tourism experiences overseas. They visit 3 sites, snorkel only, with small groups and the newest boats in the Port Douglas fleet.
