Discover two distinctive room styles within our Opal Room category, each offering an intimate and elegant retreat at Abigail’s Hotel. Located on the first and second floors of our Main House, these approximately 300-square-foot rooms feature luxurious king-size beds, elegant décor, electric fireplaces, and deep-soaking tubs—perfect for a cozy and romantic escape. 🛁🔥
Situated on the southern side of our property, our Opal Rooms overlook the peaceful surroundings of our garden and residential cul-de-sac. As an urban residential property, Abigail’s Hotel does not feature notable scenic views, allowing you to instead enjoy the privacy, charm, and tranquility of our intimate setting. 🌿
Room décor varies between the first and second floors, and specific rooms cannot be guaranteed. Please note that our Main House rooms are accessible by stairs only.

Originally built in the 1930s as The Bessborough Apartments, our charming Tudor revival-style building has a rich history. 🌿 Named after a former Governor General of Canada, it once housed exclusive luxury apartments. Today, Abigail’s offers 30 beautifully designed rooms, featuring classic European furnishings, antiques, and modern comforts like king-size beds, jetted tubs, and electric fireplaces. 🔥

After a thoughtful renovation in 1985, and a new addition completed in 2023, we’ve preserved the heritage architecture while adding luxe upgrades. Experience timeless elegance, fine art, and the warmth of historic charm, right in the heart of Victoria. 💫
