Design is also about knowing where to stop.
At Akelarre, the architecture seeks to become part of Igeldo: volumes that follow the contours of the hillside, expansive openings to the outdoors, and a presence that coexists with the surrounding vegetation and the Bay of Biscay.
The result is a continuous dialogue between what has been built and what was already there.
Architecture conceived from the landscape, not against it.
