A lovely evening of good food & drink and great company with guests ,who we now call friends, at the penultimate Marché nocturne in Jonzac.

We had grey drizzly afternoon & early evening BUT

Margot is enjoying a new ram horn but the heat is just too much 😁

The vendange (grape harvest) has begun here in Charente-Maritime🍇.
The fields are busy with both machine and hand picking & the tractors are pootling around collecting the grapes.
A friend gave us some delicious eating grapes today too.
My thoughts are with the harvesting of our walnuts. It looks like we should have a good amount this year. Beautiful sunset again tonight and definitely a cooler evening after another hot day of 29°🌞🇨🇵
Perhaps we are going to have an extended summer? 🤔
