Laga Lodge is perfectly located for exploring Ardnamurchan, Sunart, Moidart and Morvern. Each region has a huge amount to offer, from wildlife and nature, to great places to eat and drink.

But if your fancy takes you further afield then it’s easy to take the ferry to Mull, where you arrive at the picture-postcard town of Tobermory, with its brightly painted houses, sheltered harbour, gift shops, restaurants and distillery.

Alternatively, we can organise your very own charter boat, giving you a personalised tour among the sheltered islands and waters of Lochs Sunart and Teacuis.

Autumn is a magical time on the west coast of Scotland.

We often get long periods of sunny weather, when the sun glints off the loch, the trees turn to wonderful shades of orange, red and yellow, and the wildlife buzzes with activity as it prepares for the colder winter months.

If the idea of a perfect Autumn retreat, right in the heart of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, appeals to you then head over to our website to check out the latest availability at Laga Lodge. https://selfcatering-ardnamurchan.co.uk/

Looking out over the tidal waters of Loch Sunart, Laga Lodge sits at the boundary of land and sea, surrounded by ideal habitats for watching all kinds of wildlife.

We frequently see otters playing in the bay or enjoying al-fresco meals on the rocks in front of the Lodge. Seals, dolphins and porpoises cruise offshore, while White Tailed Sea Eagles often soar overhead, riding the thermals in search of their next meal.

But look closer and you’ll discover a whole new world in miniature, in between the trees and branches, in rockpools and beneath seaweed, there’s a huge number of plants, insects and crustaceans to be discovered. All within a short walk of Laga Lodge.

The Ardnamurchan Peninsula may not be home to any Munros (mountains above 3,000ft), but it more than makes up for a lack of height by offering a huge variety of hills, glens, woods and seashore. There are established footpaths and tracks, plus remote and unexplored areas to challenge your map-reading skills and reward you with breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to glimpse rare wildlife.

Set in the heart of this natural sanctuary, self-catering Laga Lodge gives you the perfect base from which to start your exploration of this unique part of the Scottish west coast.
