We're having a Christmas party like no other
If (cough a l***r we don't have) did Christmas Parties then this would be it

The Black Sail Ceilidh band, featuring Paul Ferguson (fiddle), Paul Beevers (bouzouki/guitar) and Bev Whelan (dance caller/flute/whistle).

Between then they have years of experience in delivering ceilidh dancing to the unsuspecting public.

No, it's a dance 💃🏽

Ceilidh (pronounced ‘kaylee’) is a traditional social dance form that has been prevalent in Britain and Ireland for centuries.

Expect to hear fast, furious jigs, reels, polkas and hornpipes as you are led through a range of dances by the dance caller Bev, who will teach you the movements and steps, including how to doh-si-doh, swing your partner and promenade.

No prior skill or ability is required – the object is simply to dance and have fun!

Stripping the beds before you leave.🫣

Doing a bit of the cleaning.😱

Airbnb's latest changes have got people talking, and you can see both sides. Hosts have a lot to get through between guests. Guests, meanwhile, are on holiday and didn't expect a to-do list.

We'll stay out of the argument, but here's how it works at the Old Dungeon Ghyll.

You leave the beds as they are. We have housekeeping. 🛌🏽

We have chefs, so someone else is cooking breakfast and dinner. Oh and we do an amazing packed lunch as well 👩🏽‍🍳

We have lovely staff, so someone else is clearing up and washing up 🫧

Many of our families have been coming for years.

Some book a few rooms, some take the whole hotel, and the price is in line with plenty of self-catering places.

(Did you know we offer a discount if one person is point of contact for booking a few rooms?)

You get a fantastic base in Great Langdale: out of the door for a walk, the bus into Ambleside, or a drive off to explore the rest of the Lakes.

And at this time of year, we've got wood for the real open fire. 🔥 No extra cost😁
