A delightful cosy two-bedroom Peak District Cottage with private enclosed garden and parking 🐾🐶 Welcome to The Casey.

A perfect getaway for a couple or small family and ideal base for a holiday or short break. We welcome a maximum of two dogs, purely down to the size of space within the cottage. Situated in the stunning Peak District National Park, The Casey has a beautiful enclosed garden, off road parking and traffic free walks from the doorstep. This enchanting, cosy cottage is a well equipped base on the Peak District Boundary Walk and minutes from the Tissington Trail, Thor's Cave, Pooles Cavern, Thorpe Cloud and Dovedale Stepping Stones. Fenny Bentley Village is perfectly placed to explore local trails on foot or bike with footpaths accessible from the doorstep. You can even paddle a kayak on Carsington Water. If culture, heritage, shopping or cuisine is more your thing then the equally lovely towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are readily accessible as it Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Ilam, Matlock and the Spa town of Buxton. Whenever you choose to stay, you will be spoilt for choice. Whether you are a walker, cyclist, outdoor enthusiast or a climber there is much to do in this fabulous scenic location and stunning countryside. There’s plenty of space for a run around and a lovely seating area where you can enjoy a glass or two of something and look to the distant hills as the sun goes down with a soundtrack of singing birds and church bells. If you prefer not to cook there’s two very good pubs a short stroll away or there’s a huge choice of eateries and inns in Ashbourne just a couple of miles down the road, or why not adventure and find a traditional little Inn in one of the nearby villages

The Casey has off road parking and a large secure Garage with Bike Racks and space to store your kayak, canoe or outdoor gear. Once you step in through the front door, hang up your coat and kick off your boots you will feel at home in the cosy sitting room with tiled flooring, contemporary furniture and a welcoming wood-burning stove. The open stairway divides the sitting room from the modern, well-equipped kitchen which has a useful breakfast bar. The two bedrooms are tastefully presented with exposed roof beams and consist of a double and a single. The designer bathroom has a P-shaped bath with a shower over to refresh or to soak those weary limbs at the end of the day. Rather quirkily, there’s a door on the first floor landing which leads out to the lovely South facing garden and stepping stones leading to the garage and parking area.

🛏️💕 Ooh… look what I've been up to NOW! 🤭
A little gap between guests at The Casey and I thought I'd be good and tidy the laundry cupboard and sort out the single bedlinen…

**Well, that was the plan!** 😂

One thing led to another (as it does!) and somehow the single bedroom has ended up with a fabulous NEW 5⭐ pocket-sprung orthopaedic hybrid mattress, complete with edge support and motion isolation!

And because I clearly don't know when to stop… 🤭

🩷 New Emma hypoallergenic pillows, designed for dreamy head and neck support.
🩵 And a brand-new M&S premium anti-allergy duvet.

All tucked up and ready for my next guests! 🥰

The mattress has ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews… **just like The Casey!** 😉🏡

I only went in to tidy a cupboard… **honestly, I shouldn't be left unsupervised!** 😂💕

*🏡💖💕Nine visits. And still taking the time to write a lovely note 🏡💖💕

There are little moments in running a holiday cottage that mean more than you can imagine.

Finding this handwritten message and card in my guestbook was one of them.

Tracy, Chris and Amber have now stayed at The Casey nine times. Nine times they've chosen to come back, and they still notice the little changes I've made, enjoy exploring the beautiful surroundings and take the time to tell me about their stay.

🎄✨ It’s a crafting kinda day! 🎄✨

I’ve been busy giving The Casey Welcome Board a fresh new look and have also made a start on the handmade bunting ready for my 'Festive December Breaks' 😊 🎅🎁❄️

And, of course, no crafting session would be complete without a little supervision from my beautiful 21-year-old Ruby 🐾❤️
She takes her quality-control duties very seriously… although I’m not entirely convinced sitting right in the middle of everything counts as helping! 😹

There’s something so lovely about adding these little handmade touches, and I’m really looking forward to making the cottage feel warm, welcoming and wonderfully festive for all my December guests 🎄🏡✨

What do you think of the bunting so far — and should Ruby be promoted to Chief Christmas Decorating Supervisor? 😻🎅
