Meet Azeezal, one of our gorgeous Anglo Nubian goats here at Owslow Farm, and if you ever needed proof that farm life is the best life — this is it. Those ears aren’t just for show you know. 😄

🎉🦙 Happy 6th Birthday, Dexter! 🦙🎉

Today we’re celebrating Dexter turning 6 years old!

Although he’s one of our older alpacas, he’s never one to be the loudest in the herd.

Dexter prefers to stand back, take it all in, and watch the world go by before getting involved.

He’s a brilliant trekking alpaca, taking everything in his stride and always happy to lead the way on a walk.

You’ll often find him hanging out with the older boys, enjoying life at his own pace.

Dexter joined us on 28th March 2021, and he’s been a much-loved member of the herd ever since.

🚨 Poo Patrol Update! 🚨💩🦙

After spending far longer than I’d like to admit waiting for the alpacas to provide their faecal samples for routine worm testing, the final score was:

Alpacas: 1 🦙
Me: 0 🙄

I managed to collect just one sample before deciding to call it a day. The rest of the herd clearly got together and agreed that today was not the day! 😂

Regular faecal testing is an important part of responsible alpaca care, helping us monitor herd health and ensure our alpacas stay happy, healthy and ready to greet all our visitors on their alpaca walking adventures. ❤️🌿

Tomorrow we’ll try again and see if the alpacas are feeling a little more cooperative! 🤞💩

Wish me luck… I have a feeling I’m going to need it! 😂

Benson and Marmaduke soaking up the sunshine after one of the weekend alpaca treks and looking very pleased with themselves, can you blame them? ☀️

Best buddies, adventure partners, and proof that life at Owslow Farm is really rather wonderful.

We could watch these two all day. 😄💕

⏳💩 Waiting game in progress…

Today’s glamorous job? Vital worm testing for the alpacas! 🦙🔬

The only problem is… I need fresh poo samples, and the alpacas seem to have decided that today is the day they’re going to keep me waiting! 😂

So here I am, standing around patiently, watching alpacas and hoping nature takes its course sooner rather than later. It’s all part of keeping our herd happy, healthy and in tip-top condition. ❤️🦙

Who knew running an alpaca farm involved so much time spent waiting for poo? 🤣
