Martin Lunn came to give a talk and slideshow this week at the Lodge about the winter of 1947, which went really well. He kept all the residents and visitors engaged and when it came to question time some of the residents not only asked questions but also gave Martin extra information which he said he could use on his next cruise when giving this talk.

We dodged every shower today when residents went to Thornton Hall farm. Everyone joined in a variety of activities and the staff went above and beyond to help the residents engage with the animals and the events.

Thanks go to the helpers that joined us for the trip too.

We look forward to many more trips to come then we can get all the residents on an outing..

Today we've taken part in a variety of different activities including, Singing, countdown games, badminton, football, handball, watching horse racing, reading the latest magazine, snakes and ladders and some residents had a relaxing pamper session.

Thursday we celebrated National photography day, where residents learn about the earliest form of cameras and how they used them.

Each resident had the opportunity to go round the home to take different photos.

We did a quiz and each resident talked about the picture they were given which gave them an opportunity to reminisce.
