Percy Brend in 1955, the Brend Collection has been creating wonderful experiences for guests for a number of years. Over time, the Brend family has built a portfolio that encompasses 9 luxury hotels in Devon and Cornwall, a collection of top-quality restaurants, 5 spas and a championship golf course. Although each venue is totally individual, each offers the same exceptional service and warm welcome that we have become to be known for in the South West. Today, as ever, the Brend family is closely involved with the day-to-day running of all our hotels and it remains a genuine family business. We are all committed to managing our hotels to the highest possible standards. The third generation of our family is part of the team that runs our hotels with the fourth generation already making their way into the business. The whole family takes personal responsibility for ensuring you get the very best experience when you visit any Brend hotel, spa or restaurant. Their approach is based on years of serving customers, welcoming guests, listening closely and building relationships with them - thus forming a personal service tailored to you.

45 YEARS OF MARK! ๐Ÿ’šโ›ณ๏ธ

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating a truly incredible milestone as this month Mark reached 45 years of service with us! ๐Ÿ‘

Mark joined us in 1981 as a keen young golfer looking to earn some money, who over the years worked his way all the way up to become our Head Greenkeeper at Carlyon Bay Golf Club. During that time, he has seen the course and the company change enormously and has played a huge part in making our golf courses what they are today.

In more recent years, Mark has taken a step back from his management responsibilities to enjoy more precious time with his family, while still remaining a hugely valued member of our greenkeeping team.

45 years with one company is a remarkable achievement, and we are incredibly grateful for Markโ€™s loyalty, hard work and dedication throughout those years, as well as everything he continues to bring to the team today.

Thank you, Mark, for everything youโ€™ve done for Carlyon Bay and the The Brend Collection over an amazing 45 years. ๐Ÿ’š

Meet Wade, Senior Assistant Hotel Manager at The Belmont Hotel ๐Ÿ‘‹

Wade joined the Brend Collection in 2022 as a Commis Waiter, and through hard work, dedication and a real passion for hospitality, has worked his way through a number of roles to become Senior Assistant Hotel Manager โ€“ as well as taking on the role of Events Manager at the hotel.

His journey is a brilliant example of the opportunities to learn, develop and build a rewarding career within the Brend Collection. ๐Ÿ’™

From starting out in hospitality back home in South Africa to progressing into management here in Devon, weโ€™re proud to have been part of Wadeโ€™s journey.
