Bath resident, Kay Baldock, celebrated her 100th birthday at The Bath Priory this week, joined by her son and daughter-in-law, grandsons and great-grandchildren as they all enjoyed afternoon tea together in the hotel’s gardens.
Born in India on 10 August 1926, Kay grew up in India and met her husband there during World War II. Later moving back to the UK, following the war, the couple settled in Staffordshire, where they raised their family. Kay moved to Limpley Stoke last year, to be closer to her Bath-based family, and enjoys living independently, with a love for playing Bridge and spending time with her family and friends.
The family chose to celebrate Kay’s milestone birthday with full afternoon tea in the pretty gardens of The Bath Priory, saying it was the obvious choice to mark such an important date. Kay loved taking a walk through the gardens and passing a gentle afternoon celebrating with those she is closest to, talking about the old times and indulging in the classic English pastime of afternoon tea and cakes, all served on the hotels beautiful garden terrace in this summer’s sunshine.
Happy Birthday Kay, from everyone at the Bath Priory!
