🍂 Now this is what an autumn walk in the Peak District should look like!

A quiet country lane, trees full of golden leaves and a lovely carpet of autumn colours underfoot. What more could you want?

We think the little lanes around the Peaks are just as beautiful as some of the more famous viewpoints, especially at this time of year.

There's something so nice about wrapping up warm, heading out for a countryside stroll and seeing where the paths take you.

Here at Dannah Farm Country House, we're lucky to have so much beautiful countryside to explore nearby, and autumn really does bring out the best in it. 🍁

If you're planning a few days away, come and enjoy the changing seasons with us. There's plenty to discover beyond the usual tourist spots!

🌅 Just look at that sky!

What an incredible sunrise over the Peak District, with those gorgeous shades of orange, red and pink making the whole sky look as though it's on fire!

It's mornings like this that make getting out of bed early completely worthwhile.

We're so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful countryside here at Dannah Farm Country House, and even after seeing countless sunrises, views like this still stop us in our tracks.

There's something lovely about watching the day begin while the countryside is still quiet and peaceful. ❤️

If you're planning a stay with us, it's well worth getting up a little earlier one morning. The Peak District certainly knows how to put on a show!

🐦 Well, someone certainly knows how to pose for the camera!

Just look at this beautiful little robin, sitting perfectly still and showing off that gorgeous red breast. It's almost as though it knows we're taking its photograph!

Robins have to be one of our favourite garden visitors, especially as we head towards winter. There's something so lovely about seeing them hopping around the garden on a chilly morning.

Here at Dannah Farm Country House, we love the wonderful birdlife that comes with being surrounded by countryside. From the tiniest garden birds to the larger birds of prey, there's always something to keep an eye out for. 🍂

A peaceful stay in the Peak District is the perfect opportunity to slow down, enjoy the surroundings and appreciate little moments like this.

🌫️ The Peak District under a beautiful blanket of mist!

There's something so lovely about seeing the mist settle over the hills and valleys, with just the tops of the surrounding countryside peeking through.

It's one of our favourite sights at this time of year, especially on those chilly autumn mornings when everything feels wonderfully still and peaceful. 🍂

Here at Dannah Farm Country House, we're lucky to be surrounded by some of the Peak District's most beautiful scenery, and views like this are a lovely reminder of why we love this part of the world so much.

If you're planning a relaxing countryside break, autumn is a wonderful time to visit. Wrap up warm, head out for a walk and enjoy the changing landscape before returning to the comfort of Dannah Farm.

🥾 Just another little obstacle on a Peak District walk!

You can plan the perfect countryside route, pack your walking boots and head out for a lovely stroll… only to discover a puddle that's practically a small lake! 😂

But that's all part of exploring the Peaks, especially at this time of year. A little mud, a few unexpected obstacles and some beautiful scenery along the way!

We certainly wouldn't have it any other way here at Dannah Farm Country House.

If you're staying with us and planning to explore the surrounding countryside, we'd definitely recommend packing your waterproof boots. You never quite know what the footpaths have in store for you! 🌿

And after a muddy day out, there's nothing better than returning to the comfort of Dannah Farm Country House.

We’re lucky to see all sorts of wonderful wildlife in the skies and countryside around us, and it’s always exciting when you spot a bird of prey circling overhead.

An early morning visitor! 🌿

Herons can be a wonderful sight to come across in the Peak District, especially if you’re out exploring when everything is still quiet.

Keep an eye around rivers, ponds and shallow water, where you might spot one standing perfectly still and patiently waiting for its breakfast.

When you stay at Dannah Farm Country House, set that alarm a little earlier, grab your walking boots and see what wildlife you can spot before the rest of the world wakes up! 📸

Now that’s one colourful visitor! 😍

Pheasants are a familiar sight around the Peak District, but when you see one perched proudly on a traditional dry stone wall like this, you can’t help but stop and admire those incredible colours.

Here at Dannah Farm Country House, we’re surrounded by beautiful countryside and plenty of wildlife, so there’s always something to spot when you’re out and about. 🌿

Don’t forget your camera when you come to stay — you never know who might be posing for you! 📸

You know you’re in a proper Peak District village when you spot the local ducks wandering around! 🦆🌿

So many of the beautiful villages across the Peaks have their own feathered residents, often found pottering around by the river, village pond or even holding up the traffic!

When you stay at Dannah Farm Country House, make sure you leave some time for simply exploring the villages that surround us. You’ll find pretty cottages, country pubs, lovely walks and plenty of local characters along the way.

Sometimes a wander around a Peak District village is all you need for a great afternoon out! 🏡
