The autumn colours are amazing right now. Even on a cloudy day, they are beautiful and bright! 🍁

We had a fun cycle through the forest up to Llyn Elsi and had a walk up to the monument at the top. Where we got stunning views of the mountains as the cloud rolled over them and the sun was starting to set.
We come up here often and we can never get tired of the views. It's a must place to visit when you come to Betws Y Coed. 😍

We recently had a walk over the new Pont Sanffraid, part of a new active travel route that links Glan Conwy to Conwy via the beautiful Conwy RSPB reserve. It's a great walking/cycling/running route, with gorgeous views over the Conwy estuary towards Conwy Castle.

We left our car at Glan Conwy and walked to Conwy, grabbing coffee and cake at the lovely Nonno's Coffee and heading back over the beautiful Thomas Telford designed, Conwy Pedestrian bridge. This leads you back to the path along the estuary and back over the Pont Sanffraid to our car at Glan Conwy. A lovely easy walk with coastal and mountain views 😍

October Forest Walks 🍁🍂

Yesterday we had a whole day to explore Beddgelert Forest. Amazingly we've never been here before and we don't know why, as it's beautiful!

It's a great place to explore by foot or by bike and there are trails to suit everyone.

We didn't have the best weather, but we did have a break from the rain showers to have lunch in the sun at the gorgeous Llyn llywelyn.

The clouds rolled back in and the rain started as we followed a track spotting mushrooms 🍄along the way, to explore the old mines on the west side of the forest. If the cloud wasn't so low we would have had amazing views of the surrounding mountains.

The weather did make the forest very atmospheric and it was made more magical by seeing the Welsh Highland steam train passing through!

We'll definitely be going back on a clear day.

We're back from our break away and what a lovely time we had in York visiting friends and family, but as much as we like a beautiful historic city, coming home to Eryri is always the best. 😍

We've had a few days to ourselves and as the weather has been lovely, we've been out in the forests around Betws Y Coed, hiking, cycling and cold water swimming (it's definitely colder in the water now! 🥶). Autumn is very much here and it's lovely to see the forests changing colour and the huge variety of mushrooms dotted about. 🍄🍁🍂

September was meant to be a bit quieter for us after a very busy summer, but it's definitely not been!

Amongst all of our lovely guests we have had friends to stay and we've been able to show them some of the amazing and interesting places in our beautiful area and here are some pics from our days out.

From beautiful lakes, mountains and forests to exploring interesting slate mines and caves and experiencing gorgeous sunsets 😍

We're off for a bit of a break, but we'll be back open in October when Autumn will be in full swing. The forests turn orange and red, the mountain air is crisp and if you are feeling brave you can have a cold dip in one of our many beautiful lakes 🍁🍂🥰

Wow Peregrine Circus what an amazing show! 😍
We are very lucky in Betws Y Coed to have this amazing circus (North Wales' only touring circus 🎪) on Cae Llan until 31st August. If you are in Betws Y Coed this weekend, you have to go, you will not regret it. Spend the afternoon/evening in the magical world of 'The Belly of the Whale'🐋

Sappers bridge update!! 🚨

Our new bridge is really taking shape! This week the fantastic team at MWT installed the main deck and we can't wait until we can walk/cycle over it and be just a few minutes from the centre of Betws Y Coed again. 🥳🥳😍
