My name is Somerled Macdonald and together with my wife Charlotte and son's Alexander and William, we look forward to welcoming you to Thorpe Hall Estate to enjoy a well earned break...

We offer a unique experience in this rural location situated in the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, yet only 10 minutes from the beach, making us a perfect base to visit so many attractions in the area. Within an hours drive you can visit Stately Homes, North Yorkshire Moors, historic towns and so much more making Thorpe Hall the perfect launch pad to explore this area of Yorkshire.

📸 Thorpe Hall Wildlife & Nature Photography Competition

A massive thank you to everyone who got involved this season. We had a fantastic response and we've loved seeing your images. It's nice to see all the things that make Thorpe Hall such a special stay you for you.

It wasn't ever about winning but it was about taking a moment, noticing more of our surroundings and being part of something special.

This was a first for us and am sure you'll agree that life is about constant learning and adapting. Whilst we've loved every single one of your contributions we now realise that not all photos will have the required resolution for a calendar.

Therefore, we will continue the competition up until the end of April 2027 when we will then create a 2028 calendar. We aim to have copies available for sale from July onwards (ideal stocking fillers)

With that in mind our printer has advised us that to do justice to the photos, all images will need to:
- Have a minimum resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels
- Be sharp and in focus
- JPEG format
- Orientation to be landscape

BOOKINGS FOR 2027 ARE NOW OPEN ON OUR WEBSITE

RACE THE WAVES 2027 - Official Campsite for RACERS.
No Booking is available online as our pitches are blocked out for YOU :-D Email [email protected] with your Race Number/Contact Number/Arrival and Departure date. We are away for the winter but will check emails fortnightly and will be in touch with you.

GENERAL BOOKINGS - The office is closed from Nov 1st - March 1st and the phoneline is unmanned so please visit www.thorpehall.co.uk where you can book online and secure your favourite pitch

GROUP BOOKINGS 3 OR MORE UNITS - No online booking as all groups require prior agreement. Please email [email protected] and we will be in touch on our return.

RALLIES AND MEETS - Please email us with suggested dates, approximate number of units and your contact details and we'll be in touch when we re-open the office [email protected]

Thank you to all who took part in the Thorpe Hall Angling competition in 2026! We recently had a great presentation evening and we're looking forward to doing it all over again next year!
