Do you take your dog on holiday?

30/09/2026

This event is growing every year and when I've checked the diary West End Farm Lodge is currently free for this weekend.

And if you sign up to our email you can book a minimum of 3 nights and get an extra night for free - so the whole family could really make a weekend of it.

Check out our website (in the comments) to sign up to our VIP list and get that extra night.

The Bridlington Ice Trail is back! ❄️

Get ready for a spectacular day of frozen fun as the Bridlington Ice Trail returns for its third year on Saturday 14th November. Wander through the town centre discovering stunning ice sculptures and watch live ice carving demonstrations.

But that's not all... A festive market will also be taking place across the weekend, running on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November, bringing even more shopping, food, drink and festive cheer to the town.

We can't wait! 🤩

We're delighted to have been nominated in the Rural Accommodation of the Year category.

It's a family effort to run West End Farm Lodge. We all enjoy welcoming guests to the family farm and showing guests around the horses.

It's a tough category but whatever happens on the night we'll have a good evening celebrating all the fabulous winners.

Dogs still stay free at West End Farm Lodge!

We wanted to let our lovely dog-owning guests know about a recent change made by cottages.com

They have introduced a new £30 charge for every dog, for every stay on properties booked through their platform.

We're not very happy about this.

At West End Farm Lodge, we have always believed that if we call ourselves dog friendly, we should actually be dog friendly - and that includes not adding an extra charge simply because you are bringing your dog with you.

Unfortunately, if you book through Cottages.com, their new £30 per dog charge will apply - on any of their properties. This is a charge imposed by Cottages.com and is not a charge from West End Farm Lodge.

We think it's important that our customers know the difference.

And we'll continue to believe that bringing your dog on holiday shouldn't have to come with an extra price tag.

If you are thinking about booking a stay, booking directly with us means your dogs stay free and you're dealing directly with us too.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our family business.

The crowds have gone, and the beaches are officially quiet.

Ask any dog owner who visits East Yorkshire, and they'll tell you the same thing Autumn is the best kept secret of the year.

Just 5 miles down the road at Fraisthorpe, seasonal beach restrictions lift at the end of the month nearer to Bridlington, leaving miles of golden sand and calm surf for your dog to run completely free.

Back at the Lodge, we've got the sofa fleece throws ready for that post-beach afternoon snooze while you enjoy a hot brew from your Yorkshire welcome hamper.

🍂 September availability is moving fast! Bring three generations of the family including your dog for an unforgettable autumn escape.

At West End Farm Holidays, we know how important it is to relax on holiday without worrying about your dog wandering off. That’s why our cottage garden is designed with safety and peace of mind in mind.

Here’s what guests love:

Fully enclosed garden with solid fencing all the way around

Safe space to sniff, explore and play without leads

Gates that close securely (no gaps for escape artists!) We've filled in the gaps on the lower half of the gate to stop those smaller dogs from being able to get through.

Direct access from the cottage, so early‑morning wees are easy

It’s the perfect setup for dogs who like to potter, sunbathe, or simply enjoy their own space while you relax with a cuppa.

If you’re planning an autumn or winter getaway and want somewhere truly dog‑friendly, we’d love to welcome you.
