Roadworks Underway on Normanby Road Today

Motorists travelling through Scunthorpe are being advised to plan ahead today (Tuesday, 23 June) as essential roadworks take place along Normanby Road.

The works are being carried out between Phoenix Parkway and Lodge Lane and are expected to affect traffic throughout the day.

According to the scheme details, the project will involve carriageway inlay, patching and surface dressing works aimed at improving the condition of the road and extending its lifespan.

To allow the work to be completed safely, a combination of full road closures and temporary traffic control measures will be in place at various points along the route. Traffic management arrangements will vary depending on the location and stage of the works being undertaken.

Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys and consider alternative routes where possible, particularly during peak travel periods.

The maintenance work forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the local highway network and ensure roads remain safe for all users.

Residents and businesses in the area may experience some disruption while the works are carried out, although efforts are expected to be made to minimise inconvenience where possible.

Anyone travelling along Normanby Road today is advised to follow signed diversions and temporary traffic management instructions in place on site.

The works are scheduled to take place throughout Tuesday, with normal traffic conditions expected to resume once the maintenance programme has been completed.
