We’re going to say something a little controversial… we’d love you to stop booking us through Airbnb!!!
From 20th November, Airbnb is introducing new rules for hosts and guests. And while some changes might sound reasonable, there are real practical implications for small, independent accommodation businesses like ours.
Here’s a real example of why.
We recently had four guests leave one of our yurts in an absolutely shocking state. Curry smeared across the sofa and table, orange handprints on the bedding, indoor furniture left outside overnight in the rain, food-covered plates and cutlery abandoned outside, and rubbish scattered everywhere by animals overnight.
A straightforward changeover turned into hours of extra work.
We’re not asking guests to clean their accommodation from top to bottom, but surely leaving it in a reasonable condition isn’t too much to ask?
So here’s how you can help us stay independent:

🏡 Most importantly, BOOK DIRECT!
Booking direct is cheaper, and code BOOKDIRECT gets you an additional discount. It also means we keep more of the money to reinvest in your experience and those little extras that make a stay special.
We’re a small, family-run business and every direct booking genuinely makes a difference.
