After a great deal of thought, we wanted to share some very important news with all our friends, customers and supporters.
Following an unexpected business opportunity that we simply cannot refuse TBA we have made the difficult but exciting decision to step down from The Greyhound Inn at the end of November 2026.
This certainly hasn’t been an easy decision. The Greyhound has been such a huge part of our lives, and Warslow has become so much more than just a place to run a business. It has been a journey filled with hard work, challenges, laughter, friendships and memories that we will carry with us forever.
Over the years, we have met some absolutely wonderful people, made lifelong friends, gained incredible opportunities and created memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. From the locals who have supported us from day one to the visitors who have travelled from far and wide, every single one of you has played a part in our story.
We also want to say a very special thank you to our staff, past and present.
Running a pub is never a one-person job, and we couldn't have achieved what we have without the people who have worked alongside us, supported us through the busy times, pulled together during the difficult days and helped make The Greyhound what it is today.
We are incredibly grateful for your hard work, loyalty, commitment and everything you have contributed along the way. You have been a huge part of our journey, and we will always appreciate that.
The Greyhound is still growing, and there is so much more we had hoped to achieve here.
In fact, we were in the process of buying the pub ourselves, which makes this decision all the more significant.
But sometimes, life presents you with an opportunity that comes along once in a lifetime, and you have to be brave enough to take it.
We have given the Greyhound everything we have over the years, working hard to build something special, overcome challenges and put this wonderful village pub firmly on the map.
We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and the part we have played in its story and rebuilding its heritage.
Although it is with a heavy heart that we prepare to leave, we also look forward to the next chapter and the opportunities that lie ahead.
We will, of course, make the most of our remaining time at the Greyhound and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible before the end of November.
Thank you for the support, the kind words, the laughs, the loyalty and, above all, for being part of our journey. You have made the good times even better and the difficult times easier to get through.
Pubs are built with bricks and mortar, but it is the people who walk through the doors who make them special. And that is what we will remember most about The Greyhound.
This isn't goodbye to the friendships we have made, just the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
