🚨 Important Reminder to All Customers

Following an incident today, we apologise to any customers whose experience was affected by a family’s unacceptable behaviour on the premises.

A family were asked to leave but refused and continued to behave in a threatening and abusive manner, resulting in police involvement. We want to make our position clear: the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers will always come first.

If you are asked to leave due to intoxication, abusive or inappropriate behaviour, please do so respectfully. We will not tolerate harassment, intimidation or abuse towards our team, and the police will be contacted where necessary.

We also want to remind customers that our staff have the right to feel safe at work. If a member of our team asks not to be recorded, that request must be respected. Continued filming or harassment is unacceptable.

Like many hospitality businesses, we are working hard to navigate challenging times. We ask our customers to support us by treating our team and fellow diners with respect and consideration.

We will continue to take appropriate action, including refusing service, removing individuals or issuing bans where necessary, to protect our team and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Please think before you act. Respect our staff, respect our customers, and help us keep hospitality a positive experience for all.

❗️UPDATE:
We are fully aware that separate public posts have been made in breach of what police explicitly stated should not be done. Neither the police nor the venue have been afforded the respect they are entitled to in this matter.

It is also very clear to anyone viewing the edited and sped up footage that the video being circulated does not show the correct full situation. It presents a cropped and misleading version of events alongside a false accusation, without the necessary context.
Due to legal restriction we are not permitted to share the correct version of cctv publicly.

To be absolutely clear: a hand was raised to cover the camera lens at a distance without any contact to protect our staff who should never have been subjected to this behaviour in the first place. Multiple videos of SEN staff with visible lanyards were taken by the customer without consent, and the full circumstances are documented.

To every profile that has responded to this situation negatively: your responses are, in themselves, evidence of the growing lack of respect being shown towards hospitality workers and those working in the industry.

The reaction to this incident demonstrates precisely why this post is necessary. Hospitality staff deserve to work without abuse, intimidation or the deliberate misrepresentation of events. We will not tolerate cropped and edited videos or unsupported accusations.
