55 seconds to pause by the sea.

Sound on, and watch the tide gently lap against the sea wall, with the occasional chime of Cemaes Bay’s Tide and Time Bell.

Even on an overcast day, there’s something so restful about simply watching and listening. No hurry, nowhere to be… just a little time to breathe and reset.

HAPPY NATIONAL BLACK DOG DAY!

National Black Dog Day on October 1st celebrates the stunning beauty and loving nature of our four-legged friends with dark coats! This special day encourages us to recognise the wonderful, adoptable dogs waiting in shelters for a loving home.

Who are some famous black dogs?
* The beloved children’s character Gnasher, from The Beano comic, is a scruffy black dog whose mischievous antics have entertained generations.
* The Obamas had two black dogs, Sunny and Bo. These two first dogs were Portuguese Water Dogs.
* Toto from the Wizard of Oz was a female Cairn Terrier named Terry Though, in real life, Terry wasn’t completely black. She also had some lighter color around her face and mixed into her back.
* Another presidential pooch was Richard Nixon’s spotted cocker spaniel named Checkers.
* Other country’s presidents have presidential pooches, too. For example, French President Emmanuel Macron named his black labrador retriever-griffon Nemo.

Comment underneath any other well known and loved black dogs.
