Stone Rock Pizza - Award Winning Artisan Pizzeria & Take Away
Situated at The First Hurdle Guest House
9 Upper Church Street, Chepstow. Our pizzas are wood fired in a traditional Italian clay oven at temperatures of 400 degrees. Our dough is made from scratch and patiently proofed on a 3 day cycle, allowing it's yeast to ferment just the right amount to create a deliciously chewy crust, you won't be disappointed. Our toppings where possible are locally sourced helping not only the economy in our area, but also giving you the freshest tasting pizzas around!

There was a Beautiful rainbow this morning leading straight to the big sauna at Stone Rock.

For the final 2 months that we’ll be open we’re rolling back the years. We’ve added to our existing menu some of our all-time classics.

We want to give all our loyal customers a trip down memory as a way of saying thank you to all your support over the last decade.

Our Pizza may be stopping on Jan 1st, but Stone Rock Lodge will still be open with its 12 En-Suite guest rooms, our 2 Saunas, 6 cold plunges and a whole host of Wellness events and retreats. We’ll also be launching something new to replace our restaurant in 2027. Stay tuned…..

Important announcement! 🗣️
After a decade of trade, the Pizzeria at Stone Rock Lodge will close its doors for the last time on Jan 1st 2027.
Its been a difficult few years for most people economically and unfortunately that has led to less people being able to afford to eat out regularly here in Chepstow. This has effected our custom massively, and with increasing energy, staff, food and drink costs it has made it impossible for us as a small, local, family business to operate sustainably.
But fear not there is good news. We’ve been busy transitioning into a Sauna and Wellness centre in recent years seeing ahead of time what has been happening in the hospitality market. That side of Stone Rock Lodge has continued to grow rapidly establishing itself with a community around it.

Wellness is such an important priority for people in these fast paced, stressful and difficult economic times, and so we’re expanding further into that in 2027 with a brand new project set to step into the void that the pizzeria has left. 😁

Nothing lasts forever, and when one thing dies it leaves space for something else to be born, and this is something that excites all of us at Stone Rock Lodge.

In the meantime we’ve brought back many of our classic pizzas including the BBQ Chicken, The Truffle Shuffle, the Calzone, the Smoke House and the Stone Rock Special. So come and enjoy our national award winning pizza for our final 2 months, and thank you so much for all your support over the last 10 years it’s been so appreciated! 🙏🏼
Much love, Scott ❤️
