Facebook are bringing in new rules on the 30th of October. They will be using public posts and photos for their AI.
If you don’t want Facebook to use your public posts and photos for their AI you need to click the 3 lines at the top of your page, click privacy, click object then input your email that you use for your facebook.
Now if you have multiple pages or business pages you follow the same steps again (from your private page) and input each email address you use.

Weather warnings are in place over the weekend. Please stay safe wherever you are.

The Met Office has issued an Amber weather warning for all of the Scottish mainland and islands off the west coast.

⚠️ This warning is in place from 9pm on Saturday 24 October, 2026, until 9pm on Sunday, 25 October.

A yellow wind warning is also in place covering the same area, also including Orkney, from 12pm on Saturday, 24 October.

SEPA has issued a number of flood alerts and you can find more information about flood updates on their website.

💙 A little personal update from us at McNeill Holiday Lets 💙

Some of our lovely guests will have met my dad Neil during their stays here — he’s a big part of our family home and is often around to have a wee chat, say hello, or point guests in the direction of somewhere worth visiting. 😊

Unfortunately, Dad is currently in hospital after suffering a heart attack. Thankfully, he’s doing okay and, typically, is in good spirits! ❤️

Things are a little up in the air just now while we wait to see what happens next, so I may be a little quieter than usual and replies might take slightly longer than normal but we are still open for bookings.

We’re taking things one day at a time and keeping everything crossed for Dad. 🤞

Thank you to all our past guests who have met him and know exactly who I mean — I know he’s made quite a few friends along the way! ❤️

When you have drumming friends staying with you, apparently the sofa becomes a luxury nobody gets to enjoy! 😂🥁

What an absolutely fabulous weekend of West African drumming in Roy Bridge, surrounded by amazing people, incredible rhythms and lots of laughter. 💙

A huge thank you to the incredible Djembeföla, master drummer and Griot , along with Highland African Beats, Drumming Hands Edinburgh, the Black Isle Crew and all the wonderful friends who came along and made the weekend so special.

My house may have been bursting at the seams, and I am still recovering but my heart is full! 💙✨
