Aberdeenshire Restaurant Weeks | 2nd to 15th November

We are delighted to be taking part in Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week this year. For two weeks this November, our kitchen will be serving a dedicated Restaurant Week menu: two courses for £28 or three courses for £34.

The menu celebrates the North Sea and the north east larder, with dishes including smoked haddock gnocchi with a Cullen skink velouté, roast North Sea hake with a mussel beurre nantais, and sticky toffee pudding with stem ginger and wh**ky butterscotch.

There is a vegan choice on every course, and every meal begins with our homemade garlic focaccia and ends with homemade shortbread.

Served Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm. This will be our only menu for the fortnight, and we recommend booking ahead.

Book online (link in the comments) or call 01346 561201.

🌊 Fancy working somewhere with a slightly better view than your average shift?

As another busy summer in Pennan comes to an end, we’ll soon be saying goodbye to some of our brilliant summer staff — which means we have space for a few new faces to join The Pennan Inn team.

We’re a small, friendly team working in one of the most beautiful wee villages on the Aberdeenshire coast, and we’re currently recruiting for:

🍽️ KITCHEN PORTER | 16+
A great part-time role for someone reliable and hardworking. Weekend evening availability is essential. No experience necessary — we’re much more interested in someone who turns up, gets stuck in and works well with the rest of the team.

✨ FRONT OF HOUSE | 18+
We have various shifts available and are looking for friendly, confident people who enjoy chatting to customers and being part of a busy team. Previous hospitality experience is a bonus, but a great attitude matters more.

Why join us?
💷 £13 per hour
🍴 Staff discount
🕐 Flexible/varied shifts
🤝 Friendly, small-team environment
🌊 And a workplace approximately 30 seconds from the sea!

One important bit… 🚗
Pennan is beautiful, but public transport isn’t its strong point! You’ll need to have a reliable way of getting to and from Pennan for every shift, particularly evenings and weekends.

Sound like your kind of place?

📣✨ WE’RE HIRING – FRONT OF HOUSE ✨📣

🍽️🏨 The Pennan Inn is looking for a new Front of House team member to join us!

🌊 We’re looking for someone with plenty of availability who would like to work with us regularly across our busy restaurant and hotel.

⏰ This position is offered on a zero-hours contract, so hours will vary depending on bookings and the needs of the business. However, we’re particularly keen to hear from someone who has good availability and is looking for regular work rather than just the occasional shift.

💷 WHAT WE OFFER:

* 💰 £13 per hour
* 📅 Regular shifts available during busy periods
* 🗓️ A five-day operation – Wednesday to Sunday
* 🤝 A friendly, experienced team
* 🌱 The opportunity to work in an ambitious, growing business
* ⭐ The chance to develop your hospitality skills as we continue to build on our AA Rosette standard
* 🌅 And, of course, a pretty spectacular place to come to work!

👋 Previous hospitality experience is an advantage, particularly restaurant or hotel experience, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important.

✅ We’re looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and genuinely enjoys looking after people. You must be comfortable working evenings and weekends and able to get to Pennan reliably for your shifts.

📩 HOW TO APPLY

📄 All applicants MUST submit a current CV.

Please send your CV along with a brief note outlining your availability by email or via Messenger.

For informal enquiries, please contact us at [email protected] or call 01346561201.

💙 If you think you’d be a great fit for The Pennan Inn, we’d love to hear from you.

✨ A dining experience to remember... ✨

Ahead of our Your Vibe Tours on 8th July, we had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at The Pennan Inn – and what an incredible experience it was.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Every dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the very best local produce, with everything lovingly homemade and absolutely exquisite.

The Pennan Inn isn't just somewhere to eat, it's an experience. Outstanding food, passionate chefs, wonderful service and a stunning coastal setting all come together to create something truly special.

It's exactly the kind of local gem we're proud to introduce our Your Vibe Tours guests to, celebrating the people and places that make the North East of Scotland so unique.

A huge thank you to the entire team for such a memorable evening. We can't wait to return!

❤️ Highly recommended.

🍽️ Kitchen Porter Wanted: The Pennan Inn 🍽️

After two great years with us, Mason is moving on, so we’re on the lookout for a new Kitchen Porter to join our small, friendly team here in Pennan.

We’re a busy little restaurant-with-rooms in the village made famous by Local Hero, cooking everything from scratch with fish landed just along the coast. This is a brilliant first job: two evenings a week, a proper team around you, and a real kitchen to learn the ropes in.

🕕 Hours
✅ Friday and Saturday evenings
✅ Extra hours often available in busy periods and over the holidays

💷 Pay
£8.50 per hour for under-18s, with National Minimum Wage rates applying by age for older applicants

🧽 What you’d be doing
• Washing dishes, pots and kitchen equipment
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and running smoothly
• Giving the chefs a hand with simple prep tasks when needed

No experience needed, just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to muck in as part of a team. Great for a local student or anyone after their first job in a kitchen.

To apply, just drop us a message here on Facebook. We’d love to hear from you.

👇 Please share if you know someone who’d be a good fit

We’re back. ❤️

First of all, thank you.

The messages, cards, gifts, well wishes and kindness shown to us over our wedding weekend were genuinely overwhelming. We have spent the last few days celebrating with family and friends and making memories that will stay with us forever.

We’re back open from Wednesday, and it’s time to get back to what we love.

The kitchen team are already preparing for a busy summer ahead.

We are incredibly lucky to do what we do in a place like Pennan, welcoming people who travel from near and far to spend time in this special corner of the coast.

If you’re planning a visit this summer, whether it’s for dinner or a weekend away, we’d love to see you.

Tables and rooms are filling quickly, so don’t leave it too long.

Thank you again for all your support.

Peter & Lizzy ❤️
