Five gorgeous cottages have been created from redundant barns at Belle Grove Farm. Oozing character, the properties each feature superbly-equipped open-plan kitchen/living areas and a bathroom for each bedroom. ts of wildlife, but the pretty enclosed courtyard gardens offer tranquil al fresco dining for humans too. The countryside location makes for great walking as does the stunning Suffolk heritage coast, only a few miles away.

Meant to post this yesterday as that was 16th June - the day that, exactly 50 years ago, we arrived in Jo’burg after a 5 month trans-Africa overland (will be going back to that trip as part of Flashback Fridays). Compare the ‘start’ and ‘finish’ pics! 😗 😊 Also memorable because that was the very day that the Soweto riots kicked off, a precursor to the end of Apartheid thank goodness.

Now, guess what this ‘car’ that lurks in bushes is… brought all the way from nr Inverness balanced on top of a Morris Traveller back in the day and now a feature of BG’s grounds (we never did get round to doing anything with it but guests enjoy it!)
