Five gorgeous cottages have been created from redundant barns at Belle Grove Farm. Oozing character, the properties each feature superbly-equipped open-plan kitchen/living areas and a bathroom for each bedroom. All are furnished with an eclectic mix of sumptuous textiles, furniture and antiques collected from around the world by the owners. The deliberately un-manicured surroundings entice all sorts of wildlife, but the pretty enclosed courtyard gardens offer tranquil al fresco dining for humans too. The countryside location makes for great walking as does the stunning Suffolk heritage coast, only a few miles away.

One of the many fascinating church paintings and artefacts hereabouts, in nearby Wenhaston is this rare ‘Doom’ painting discovered in 1892 after the whitewash that had covered it since 16th century washed off in the rain during church renovations !
