Halloween at The Hop Kilns

There’s been something magical about the skies over The Hop Kilns this Halloween weekend… 🍂🎃

Eerie mists, dramatic skies and the most incredible light have made our little corner of Herefordshire feel rather enchanting.

From golden autumn sunshine to moody, misty mornings and evenings, Mother Nature has certainly been putting on a show!

We couldn’t have ordered a more perfect Halloween backdrop if we tried. 🧡

We are so lucky that our local campsite ‘The Millpond’ has a wonderful coffee shop (with shop and bar!) just a 10 minute walk from The Hop Kilns!

Open everyday 9am - 5pm
Bar serving 11am - 5pm

Pop into the shop for any last minute essentials, or stroll down for tea and cake, or a nice cold c***r with friends in the air conditioned coffee shop or sat out on the picnic benches in the sunshine! 🍻🫖🍰

What more could we ask for right on our doorstep?! ☺️

I’ve been taking full advantage of having my little helper off school for a few more days and roped her into helping with this week’s changeover…

Did you see the wishlist on her t-shirt? It turns out that is a great motivator to come and help me… 🐴💸

Life here wouldn’t be the same without our animals ❤️

From our loyal dogs who think they run the place, to the cats who definitely know they do…

They’re not just part of the backdrop — they’re part of what makes The Hop Kilns feel like home.

There’s something special about waking up to our beautiful Hereford cattle in the fields, evenings spent in the hot tub listening to the owls, and watching the chickens and ducks pottering around the farm.

To us, they’re more than animals - they’re family. And we love sharing them with you during your stay.
