Yesterday we welcomed our Awards Winners, Finalists & Sponsors to the Shell Store for our annual Herefordshire Business Awards After Awards event 💫
A massive thank you to Charlotte Smith, John Finch and Claire Sambrook for sharing the judges perspective on entering the awards and the process... and proving they're not AI! 🤖
The HMBiz 2025 Business Leader of the Year Sharon Baker FCCA 💜 spoke about the results of being an award winning business leader.
★ Rachel Jones ★ from the Growth Hub shared all things business support and opportunities in the county, including grant funding.
Al Price showed how important branding can be when sharing your success, and some mistakes even the largest companies have made.
We then finished with Colita Dainton: DON'T BE SHEEPISH! – Stand out from the flock!
Well, that was a bit baa-rmy!
At our Herefordshire Business Awards After Awards event, I brought along a rather fabulous flock of sheep (complete with pink sunglasses!) to share a few thoughts on making the most of awards success.
We talked about celebrating achievements, blowing your own trumpet, sharing your story and turning recognition into real business opportunities.
Because let's face it, most business owners already know what they should be doing… but wool they actually do it?
My message was simple: Don't be sheepish about your success, don't let your award gather dust, and don't just follow the flock — stand out from it!
And of course, everyone left with a little sheep to remind them to keep being brilliant!
Don't just win it. Work it!
With top tips, insights and reminders, great knowledge was shared. We also must say a big thank you to the Shell Store for hosting the event.
It was an inspiring morning, thank you for joining us and we look forward to seeing you share your achievement with the world! Check out some photos captured by Ollie Beale from the event below ⬇️
We love spending time with the business community. If you're thinking i missed out, keep your eyes peeled for the 2027 Herefordshire Business Awards opening in the new year!
