An Important Update from Fountain Cottage Cafe and B&B
‼️Cafe to CLOSE with B&B to remain OPEN‼️
To our wonderful community, loyal customers, and guests, we are sharing some sad news today.
After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close our cafe side of the business.
⭐️Our final day of service in the cafe will be today, Sunday, 1st November 2026. (Open 8am-3.30pm, call to order or book a table for the last time 01434239224)⭐️
We want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to every single person who stepped through our doors for a coffee, a bite to eat, and a chat. We have made so many friends with our loyal regular customers, we appreciate every single one of you.
A special thank you to our incredible staff. ❤️ Over the years, we have had some incredible staff working for us, some who have stayed with us since day one also, we could not have run this cafe without your hard work, dedication, and the wonderful energy you brought every day. You are the heart of this place, and we are endlessly grateful for everything you've done. Yous know who you are and we cannot thank you enough, we consider you all friends for life and hope you feel the same. Running a business has been hard for myself and Michael, but so worth it to make such good friends, and we have had so many laughs along the way. Thank you
We got the keys in November 2018, fully renovated, then opened January 2020. Covid came along March 2020, and since followed a roller coaster of a ride. With pandemic disruptions, lock downs, inflation, energy spikes, rising costs, the list goes on and on. It really is so hard to run a hospitality business in the current economy. Without the support from all our locals, we wouldn't have been able to survive those 8 years, thank you. And we are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved over the years! That would not have been possible without all of your support and our fantastic team!
The B&B Remains Open!
Our B&B is remaining fully open and operating as normal. We are shifting our focus entirely to providing the best possible experience for our overnight visitors.
Thank you all for your understanding, your loyalty, and for being a part of our story at Fountain Cottage Cafe.
With gratitude,
Danielle, Michael and Team Fountain
